Buttermere Horseshoe (Darren Holloway Memorial) race will be included in the LCT from 2016. It is an original classic route with history, and needs support to keep the race viable.
To keep the number of races to 6, the three highest-entry races (Borrowdale, Langdale and Three Shires) will be ‘rested’ from the trophy in turn, starting with Langdale in 2016.
So for 2016 the Super Long races will be Buttermere Horseshoe, Duddon Valley, Ennerdale Horseshoe and Wasdale, and the Long races will be Borrowdale and Three Shires.
